Business Case: Before The Deluge 3.0

In 2022 Te Uru Kahika presented Before the Deluge, the business case for coinvestment in national flood risk resilience. The resulting investment has been hugely successful with essential upgrades protecting communities from flooding as well as creating jobs and increasing national capacity and capability.

Te Uru Kahika is now presenting an updated Before The Deluge, our plan for how the sector and the Crown can jointly build a 30 year investment pipeline that will protect our people and our economy for the next 100 years. It stands on the principles and working relationships developed over previous tranches of investment, and sets out how we can understand flood risk, prioritise investment, and deliver outcomes at scale and at pace.
